This page is dedicated to My very best friend. KATIE...also known as DIDDER and Katie Didder and Didder Dog...not that I have to call her by any name. She knows when I am speaking to her. She knows what I want, almost before I do and she has dedicated her life to making me happy, and nothing comes between her doing whatever I ask..or even THINK.
She is the Queen here. Number One, first and foremost. Katie is 11 yrs old and she has mild Hip Problems, and has developed a fatty tumor on her side. She is NOT breeding stock here and never has been. She was spayed many years ago.
Katie is the ultimate example of an English Shepherd. She will catch anything I ask her too. Escape Poms or Chihuahuas, stray chickens etc without ever leaving a wet mark on them. She will run off stray dogs, and stray cattle that I am so afraid of and then come to me wagging her tail and lick my hand, looking at me with such loving eyes. If any dog is bothering me and won't go away, all I have to do is say KATIE and she is right there sending them on their way! When I drive up in the yard, if any dog decides to run in front of my truck, katie will nail them to the ground and hold them there.
She has never been trained!! She trained herself. She is perfect in the house, perfect in the yard...she is just plain perfect.
