Welcome to Mercys page. Mercy is not an ES. Mercy is a rescue that we recently found living at the trash dumpsters on our rural road in louisiana. He was cold, skinny and unhealthy as you can see from the pictures. He was hungry and searching for food but he was getting yelled at by people, and chased, not finding any Mercy at this dump. The weather was cold and there is no shelter except the woods around the site. I can't imagine what this young dog did to deserve to be tossed out like yesterdays milk carton.

Here is Mercys Angel. Ashley would like for people to remember that dog CANNOT fend for themselves when dropped off on the streets. And there are not people just driving the roads looking for a dog to adopt, who are going to stop and give your tossed out dog a home. The fact is these tossed out animals, suffer greatly. They wander looking for food and shelter, finding mostly cruel people who often abuse them. The dogs suffer disease, starvation and death. Most of them don't run into an Angel of Mercy.
Mercys angel is a teenage girl. A senior in high school who works overtime between school work, the high school band, the school drama club and her Church. She's a busy girl, often fatigued but STILL made it a priority to go rescue Mercy and make a place for him in the unused shop building in our back yard. Here she took a break, which turned into an unexpected but much needed nap.
Mercy looks terrible, but he looks better than he did and he is really perked up now. Hes been fed and wormed and next step is getting his shots! Then waiting as he heals before we search for a forever home for Mercy.
