Thank you for your interest in our English Shepherds. My goal is to provide you with a quality English Shepherd much like the one I grew up with when I was a child. The English Shepherd that I grew up with helped form the respect and love that I have for this breed. Breeding these dogs is my effort to provide others with the chance to have their own English Shepherd. I would like for your pup to grow into a dog that is your family companion and yet is willing and able to help you in your homelife as well.
No matter which pup you get, it will
require plenty of physical and mental exercise. These dogs need a job. They also must have human contact and prefer to be with their human the majority of the time, however are capable of taking care of things while you are away.  (once mature)
By completing and returning this questionaire you will be helping me determine the possibility of one of my pups being able to live with you and your family. It is designed to help make this a permanent placement, so please answer these questions as honestly and completely as possible. Feel free to add any information you feel will help.
Many questions have no wrong or right answer, they just help me determine what type of pup might likely be compatible with your family. Keep in mind, pups, like children, go through many stages and changes as they mature. Not all are pretty or pleasant. They do not come to you mature, or trained. English Shepherds mature around 2 years of age, sometimes a little later. However, with guidance and training, you will get your pup through it's "growing pains" and help it develop into a dog you will be proud to own. What you do with your pup and how you raise and handle it helps determine "who" it becomes once mature.  But only if we make the best placement and if you are willing to work with your pup through it's stages and any problem behaviors it develops. These dogs are not for those who do not care to be the pack leader. English Shepherds require firm guidance and consistency to become all they can be and what you will cherish.
Thank you for taking the time to carefully consider each question and to answer it to the very best of your ability.
Blessings,
Ruth Hippler
